Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal data FindMyHobby Club (“we”, “us”), operated by Krishna Onguru, collects through the FindMyHobby app and website, why, and your choices. We follow the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and other applicable Indian law.

What we collect

• Account details from Google sign-in: your name and email address.
• Waitlist details, if you join our waitlist on the website: your name, WhatsApp number, the activities you are interested in, your area and how you heard about us. We keep them in our own system and in a Google Sheet that only our team can open, use them only to message you about FindMyHobby Club, and remove them whenever you ask.
• Phone number, if you add it (required for tournaments so staff can reach you).
• Bookings: activities, dates, seats, check-ins, tournament entries and results (your name appears in public tournament brackets).
• Payment records: amount, status and the reference number from our payment partner or your UPI reference. We never see or store your card numbers, UPI PIN or bank passwords — payments are processed by Razorpay.
• Technical data: IP address and basic request logs, used for security and preventing abuse.
• Device data: a notification token so we can send booking reminders and updates (you can turn notifications off in the app), and crash reports (device model, Android or iOS version, app version and what went wrong) so we can fix problems.

Why we use it

• To create your account, take bookings, confirm payments and check you in.
• To run tournaments and show results.
• To process refunds and keep accounting records required by law.
• To keep the service secure (for example, limiting repeated sign-in attempts).

We do not sell your data and we do not use it for advertising.

Who we share it with

• Razorpay (payment processing) — the details needed to complete a payment or refund.
• Google — to sign you in.
• DigitalOcean and Supabase — our hosting providers, which run our servers and store our database and photos.
• Google Firebase — to deliver notifications to your phone.
• Sentry — to receive crash reports.
• Authorities, if required by law.

Where it is stored

Our servers (DigitalOcean, Bangalore) and database (Supabase, Mumbai) are in India, and data is encrypted in transit. Crash reports are processed by Sentry in the United States. Access is limited to the club's authorised staff.

How long we keep it

We keep your account while it is active. Booking and payment records are kept for as long as Indian tax and accounting laws require, even after you delete your account; they are then no longer linked to your name.

Your rights and choices

• See and correct your name and phone number in the app (You tab).
• Delete your account in the app: You → Delete my account. Your name, email and phone are erased immediately.
• Contact us to access your data, withdraw consent or raise a grievance.

Children

The app is intended for people aged 18 and over. Children may attend activities when a parent or guardian books for them.

If we change this policy, we will update the date above and, for important changes, tell you in the app.
